Privacy Policy

How FinTools Hub handles your data, cookies, and advertising.

Last updated: 2025

FinTools Hub ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have designed our tools to collect as little personal information as possible.

1. The short version

  • Our calculators do not collect your financial inputs. Every calculation runs in your browser. The numbers you enter (income, loan amounts, balances) never leave your device and are not stored by us.
  • We do use cookies and analytics to understand site traffic and improve the experience.
  • We display advertising (Google AdSense) to keep the site free. AdSense and its partners may use cookies to serve relevant ads.
  • Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland have consent rights regarding cookies and ad personalization, described below.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you do NOT give us

The values you type into our calculators — your salary, debt balances, loan terms, account values — are processed entirely in your web browser. They are not transmitted to our servers, not logged, and not stored. You can use every calculator with full confidence that your personal financial data remains on your device.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, including:

  • IP address (used for security and rough geographic location)
  • Browser type, version, and language
  • Device type (mobile, desktop, tablet)
  • Pages visited and referring URLs
  • Approximate date and time of visits
  • Anonymous aggregate usage statistics

2.3 Information you voluntarily provide

If you contact us through our contact form or email, you may provide your name, email address, and message content. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry and do not add you to any marketing list.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies: required for the site to function (e.g., remembering your menu state). These cannot be disabled if you wish to use the site.
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
  • Advertising cookies: used by Google AdSense and its partners to display and measure ads, and to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.

4. Google AdSense and advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense is a third-party vendor that uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings .
  • You may also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info .

Third-party vendors and ad networks that serve ads on our site may also use cookies. We do not control these third-party cookies and their use is subject to the respective providers' privacy policies.

5. EEA, UK, and Switzerland user consent

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent UK/European law:

  • Consent. We seek your consent before setting non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) on your device. Essential cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest to make the site function.
  • Google-certified CMP. For serving ads in the EEA and UK, Google requires publishers to use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) that complies with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. We use a CMP to obtain and signal your consent choices to Google and other ad partners.
  • Right to access, rectify, erase, and port. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us using the details below.
  • Right to object and withdraw consent. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests or withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Right to complain. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. CCPA and U.S. state privacy rights

If you are a resident of California (under the California Consumer Privacy Act, CCPA) or another U.S. state with similar privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Request that we correct inaccurate information;
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising;
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

7. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve our website and tools;
  • To understand how visitors use the site through analytics;
  • To display relevant advertising that keeps the site free;
  • To respond to your inquiries and support requests;
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

8. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:

  • Service providers who operate analytics, advertising, and hosting on our behalf (e.g., Google);
  • Authorities when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect our rights and safety;
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice to you).

9. Data retention

We retain server logs and analytics data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, then delete or anonymize it. Contact-form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for reasonable record-keeping.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because our calculators do not transmit your financial inputs, that data is never exposed to network risk.

11. Children's privacy

FinTools Hub is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be noted. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
